HELP:
Most of the help available for using DMA is included in the
ON LINE HELP. You can activate it by pressing the key F1 at any
time when youre running DMA. When you press it, a help screen
on the current subject appear.
PRINTING:
You must have the "ARIAL" true type font installed to print
with DMA. It is a standard font that comes with your windows
distribution kit.
MAKING BACKUP OF YOUR DATA:
It would be wise to copy your data to a floppy disk, to do so,
just copy all the files in your DMA directory (except the ".EXE" and
".ESL" files) to your floppy disk. It should easily fit in a 1.44
Meg floppy disk.
I have included a batch file in the package that will backup your
data if you execute it. The name is of the batch file is "BACKDMA.BAT".
RESTORING FROM YOUR BACKUP:
If you had a crash and you want your data back, here are the
steps to follow:
1- Reinstall DMA from the original version.
2- Execute the batch file "RESTDMA.BAT" included in the DMA
package to restore your data back.
It will work just fine if you copy all the data files back.
However...i am using a relational technology and my program doesnt
like it when we play with the relations between files, so do not
play too much with the data files.
KNOWN PROBLEMS:
MACH32 ATI VGA accelerator card users: Turn off the "DEVICE BITMAP"
from the windows flexdesk control panel...if you dont...your DMA icons
wont look fine! This option is available in the version 1.54 of
the flexdesk control panel or later, you must download the new
version of flexdesk from your local BBS.
If you still experience problems with the display, try the
standard VGA display of windows...then...if everything is allright
...get an unbugged version of your video driver!
